1. CDI resources and services

CDI provides structured learning, professional development, and applied systems resources, which may include:

• Open guides and publicly available learning resources
• CDI Practicals and hands-on learning exercises
• Downloadable and buyer-access digital materials
• Templates, examples, checklists, datasets, and practical tools
• Mentorship inquiry pathways and guided support
• Educational articles, website pages, and related resources

CDI may introduce, revise, update, reorganize, suspend, or remove resources and services over time.

2. Open guides and public learning materials

CDI open guides and public learning materials are provided for education, reference, teaching, and adaptation under the license identified on the relevant resource or on the CDI Licensing page.

Permissions may differ among written content, source code, datasets, figures, diagrams, photographs, brand assets, and third-party materials. An open license applying to one part of a resource does not automatically apply to every included item.

When attribution is required, you must preserve the appropriate author, source, copyright, and license information.

Review the CDI Licensing and Attribution page before reusing, adapting, teaching from, or redistributing CDI materials.

3. CDI Practicals and digital products

CDI Practicals are productized, hands-on exercises and structured learning tools. They may be sold, offered without charge, downloaded, or delivered through buyer-access pages or other digital methods.

Unless the applicable product page or accompanying license states otherwise, each purchase provides one individual, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for the purchaser’s personal learning and professional development.

You may use a purchased CDI Practical to complete its exercises, develop your own skills, produce your own analyses, and create your own original professional or portfolio outputs.

You may not copy, redistribute, resell, republish, publicly upload, or share CDI product files or buyer-access materials. You may not use them as the basis of a competing product, course, repository, learning-management-system resource, or commercial training program without CDI’s prior written permission.

A business, university, research group, training provider, or other organization may not distribute one purchased copy among multiple learners, employees, members, or participants unless CDI has granted written permission or an applicable organizational license.

You retain ownership of the original analyses, reports, portfolios, code, documents, or other outputs you create while completing a CDI Practical. This does not transfer ownership of the CDI Practical, its instructions, templates, supplied datasets, page design, or other protected product materials.

4. Product access and downloads

Digital products may be delivered through download links, buyer-access pages, email confirmations, customer accounts, or another delivery method selected by CDI.

You are responsible for providing an accurate email address and maintaining access to the email account or customer account used for purchase and delivery.

Purchase or access links are intended for the authorized purchaser. You must not publish, transfer, or share restricted access links with other people.

CDI may update product files or access pages over time. Purchasing a product does not guarantee lifetime access, indefinite hosting, ongoing support, or future updates unless the product page expressly states otherwise.

You should download and securely retain any files supplied with your purchase within the available access period.

5. Payments and order processing

CDI may use WooCommerce and third-party payment providers to process purchases. Payment providers may apply their own terms, privacy policies, security practices, and processing requirements.

Prices, discounts, bundles, coupons, taxes, currencies, and product availability may change. The price and applicable charges shown during checkout apply to that order.

You agree to provide current, accurate, and authorized billing and payment information.

CDI may decline, cancel, hold, or review an order where there is a suspected technical error, unauthorized transaction, payment failure, fraud, abuse, or violation of these Terms.

6. Refunds and digital-product limitations

Because CDI products are digital materials that may be delivered or made accessible immediately, purchases are generally non-refundable after access or download has been provided, except where a refund is required by applicable law or expressly offered by CDI.

CDI may review refund requests involving duplicate purchases, incorrect delivery, failed access, damaged files, or technical problems that CDI cannot reasonably resolve.

Requesting a refund does not guarantee that the request will be approved. Any review will consider the product, delivery status, access history, nature of the problem, and applicable legal requirements.

If you experience a problem accessing a purchased product, contact info@complexdatainsights.com and include sufficient order information for CDI to investigate.

7. Mentorship inquiries and guided support

CDI mentorship pages and contact forms allow individuals to express interest in guided support, learning direction, project feedback, or professional-development pathways.

Submitting an inquiry does not guarantee acceptance, availability, scheduling, pricing, a particular mentor, or any specific outcome.

A mentorship or guided-support arrangement may require a separate written scope, schedule, payment arrangement, confidentiality terms, or service agreement.

Mentorship may provide guidance, feedback, review, and structure. The learner remains responsible for their own participation, work, decisions, conduct, and outcomes.

8. Educational purpose and professional limitations

CDI resources are provided for educational, informational, and professional-development purposes.

CDI does not guarantee employment, admission, promotion, certification, funding, publication, research acceptance, regulatory approval, business success, clinical approval, or any other particular result.

CDI may discuss data analysis, research methods, clinical evidence, artificial intelligence, omics, software, or career development. These materials do not replace professional legal, medical, financial, regulatory, academic, clinical, or institutional advice.

Code, analytical methods, example data, AI-supported workflows, and technical instructions may contain errors or behave differently across software versions, datasets, operating systems, and computing environments.

You are responsible for independently reviewing, testing, validating, interpreting, and documenting your work before using it in research, clinical, regulatory, business, employment, or other consequential settings.

CDI materials must not be used as the sole basis for patient care, diagnosis, treatment, safety-critical decisions, regulatory submissions, or decisions affecting a person’s legal rights or access to essential services.

9. Eligibility and authorized information

CDI’s public educational resources may be used subject to these Terms and their applicable licenses.

To make a purchase or enter into a paid service arrangement, you must have the legal capacity to enter into a contract or have authorization from a parent, legal guardian, employer, institution, or other authorized representative.

You are responsible for ensuring that information submitted during checkout, account registration, payment, or an inquiry is accurate and that you are authorized to provide it.

10. User responsibilities and prohibited conduct

When using CDI websites, products, resources, and services, you agree not to:

• Misuse the website, checkout system, customer accounts, downloads, or access links
• Redistribute, resell, upload, publish, or share restricted CDI product materials without permission
• Remove required CDI attribution, branding, copyright notices, or license information
• Use CDI materials or services for unlawful, harmful, abusive, discriminatory, deceptive, or fraudulent purposes
• Attempt to bypass payment requirements, access controls, download restrictions, or security systems
• Copy protected CDI product content into another paid product, course, repository, training program, or learning platform without permission
• Submit false, misleading, unauthorized, malicious, or unlawful information through CDI forms, accounts, or checkout systems
• Introduce malware, automated attacks, disruptive code, or other material intended to damage or interfere with CDI systems
• Use CDI’s name, logo, visual identity, or materials in a way that falsely suggests endorsement, partnership, certification, or affiliation

11. Intellectual property

CDI-created content—including original text, guides, diagrams, code examples, templates, product materials, product covers, branding, page designs, and visual identity elements—belongs to Complex Data Insights or its creator unless otherwise stated.

Open-guide materials may be reused only under their applicable licenses. CDI Practicals, paid product materials, brand assets, product graphics, buyer-only files, private mentorship materials, and custom materials are not automatically open licensed.

No ownership rights are transferred merely because material can be viewed, accessed, downloaded, purchased, or used.

12. Third-party content, tools, and external links

CDI may reference or link to third-party websites, datasets, software packages, repositories, documentation, platforms, articles, products, or services.

Third-party resources remain subject to their own terms, licenses, privacy practices, availability, and technical requirements. CDI does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, security, accuracy, continued availability, or licensing.

You are responsible for reviewing and following applicable third-party terms, licenses, attribution requirements, citation practices, and data-use restrictions.

13. Website availability, compatibility, and updates

CDI aims to maintain its website, guides, products, and access systems, but uninterrupted or error-free availability is not guaranteed.

Access may be affected by maintenance, hosting problems, software updates, security work, service-provider changes, technical failures, internet disruptions, or circumstances beyond CDI’s reasonable control.

CDI may revise, rename, reorganize, replace, suspend, or remove content, products, prices, services, links, or features at any time.

CDI cannot guarantee compatibility with every device, browser, operating system, software version, package version, or computing environment.

14. Suspension and termination

CDI may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to buyer-only materials or services where CDI reasonably believes that a user has violated these Terms, shared access without permission, bypassed payment or security controls, engaged in fraud, or used CDI services unlawfully.

Where appropriate and reasonably possible, CDI may contact the user or provide an opportunity to address the issue before permanent termination. Immediate restriction may be necessary to protect users, payment systems, intellectual property, or website security.

Suspension or termination does not transfer ownership of a user’s original work to CDI. Provisions concerning intellectual property, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability, and restrictions on redistribution continue to apply after access ends.

15. Disclaimers

CDI materials, websites, products, and services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

CDI makes reasonable efforts to provide useful and accurate materials but does not guarantee that content will always be complete, current, error-free, secure, or suitable for every learner, dataset, project, institution, or purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CDI disclaims warranties that are not expressly stated in writing, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

16. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CDI is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or connected with use of CDI websites, resources, products, downloads, mentorship services, or third-party links.

This includes, where legally permitted, loss of data, income, opportunity, business, reputation, research progress, academic outcomes, or anticipated savings.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CDI’s total liability arising from a purchased product or paid service will not exceed the amount paid directly to CDI for the product or service giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or any consumer right that cannot lawfully be waived.

17. Privacy

CDI collects, uses, stores, and processes personal information as described in the CDI Privacy Policy.

Third-party services involved in hosting, analytics, checkout, payments, communications, or content delivery may process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

18. Changes to these Terms

CDI may update these Terms when its resources, products, services, legal obligations, or business practices change.

Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Changes apply from the stated effective date.

Continued use of CDI websites, products, or services after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires another form of notice or consent.

19. Severability and no waiver

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

If CDI does not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not waive CDI’s right to enforce the provision later.

20. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, applicable licensing terms, product descriptions, checkout information, and any separate written service agreement, form the agreement governing your use of the relevant CDI product or service.

If a separate written agreement expressly conflicts with these Terms, the separate agreement controls for the specific service covered by that agreement.
